This immersive 5-day course is designed to equip teachers with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to effectively integrate STEM principles into their classrooms. Participants will explore innovative teaching strategies, hands-on activities, and the latest research in STEM education to inspire and engage students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

Day 1: Introduction to STEM Education — What is STEM? Importance of STEM in the 21st Century. Trends and challenges in STEM. Research on effective STEM teaching.

Day 2: Inquiry-Based Learning and the Scientific Method — The inquiry cycle and scientific method. Designing inquiry-based STEM lessons. Facilitating student-led investigations.

Day 3: Project-Based Learning (PBL) in STEM — The PBL framework. Developing relevant and meaningful STEM projects. Managing PBL in the classroom.

Day 4: Technology Integration for STEM Education — Exploring STEM tools and resources (coding, robotics, simulations). Integrating technology into STEM lessons. Hands-on workshops with STEM technology.

Day 5: Assessment and Differentiation in STEM — Formative and summative assessment strategies. Differentiating instruction for diverse learners. Developing a personal STEM action plan.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
