This course program provides educators with a solid foundation in podcasting and demonstrates how this technology can be effectively and ethically used to enhance the learning experience of students.
Description
Day 1 introduces the fundamentals, focusing on brainstorming ideas, defining an audience, and scriptwriting for a pilot episode.
Day 2 is a hands-on technical session where participants learn about audio recording and editing, including choosing the right equipment and software, and adding music and sound effects.
Day 3 bridges podcasting and education, exploring how to use podcasts for teaching and assessment, including designing student activities and providing audio feedback.
Day 4 focuses on inclusion and accessibility, teaching participants to create podcasts for all students, as well as delving into advanced storytelling techniques and sound design.
Day 5 wraps up the course by focusing on promotion and community building. The day culminates in presenting their final projects.
Learning Objectives
This training aims to equip teachers with the knowledge, skills, and competencies needed to effectively use podcasts in the classroom.

Methodology & Assessment
The course employs a variety of interactive and hands-on methods: instructor-led sessions providing theoretical background and practical demonstrations, hands-on workshops for scriptwriting, recording, editing, and publishing podcasts, group work and collaboration fostering a supportive learning environment, individual feedback and mentoring from trainers, and potential guest speakers from the field of podcasting or education.
