This dynamic, hands-on course explores the core principles of Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL). Participants will move from theory to practice, learning how to design engaging lessons that simultaneously develop subject knowledge and language proficiency. We will cover key strategies for scaffolding content, adapting authentic materials, and managing a bilingual classroom environment. You will work collaboratively with European colleagues to create and share resources, focusing on practical activities for subjects like science, history, geography, and art. The course empowers teachers to build students’ confidence in using a foreign language for meaningful, real-world communication, transforming any subject into an exciting language-learning opportunity.
Learning Objectives

Methodology & Assessment
Our methodology is active, participatory, and centered on “learning by doing.” The course combines theoretical input with practical workshops, collaborative group work, and peer-to-peer feedback sessions. Participants will engage in micro-teaching, lesson planning simulations, and material adaptation tasks. Assessment is continuous and formative, based on active participation, the completion of practical tasks, and the development of a personal portfolio of CLIL resources and lesson plans. A final collaborative project, such as co-designing a CLIL learning unit, will consolidate the skills acquired during the week.
Materials, Digital Tools & Other Learning Resources
The training integrates collaborative online platforms (e.g., Padlet, Google Workspace) for brainstorming and sharing. We will explore a curated selection of Open Educational Resources (OER) and digital apps for creating engaging CLIL materials and activities for the classroom.
