Frequently Asked Questions
What is Erasmus+ Key Action 1 for school staff?
Key Action 1 (KA1) is the part of Erasmus+ that funds learning mobility. It allows teachers, school leaders and other school staff to spend time abroad on job shadowing, teaching assignments or structured courses and training. Infol Education hosts structured courses in Rome and other Italian cities.
Who can take part in an Erasmus+ course?
Teachers, school leaders and non-teaching staff working in school education, such as teacher assistants, pedagogical advisors, psychologists and Erasmus+ coordinators.
Who applies for the Erasmus+ grant?
The school, not the individual participant. The school applies to its own Erasmus+ National Agency, either with a short-term project (KA122) or, if it holds an Erasmus accreditation, within an accredited project (KA121).
What does the Erasmus+ grant cover?
For structured courses the grant includes a course fee of 80 EUR per participant per day, individual support for living costs, calculated per day and by destination country, and travel support based on the distance travelled. The amounts are set in the Erasmus+ Programme Guide.
How long can an Erasmus+ course last?
Under the current Erasmus+ Programme Guide, courses and training for school staff last from 2 to 10 days of physical mobility. Infol Education's courses run for five days, from Monday to Friday.
When is the Erasmus+ application deadline?
The deadline is set every year in the Erasmus+ Programme Guide. For 2026, applications for both short-term (KA122) and accredited (KA121) projects were due on 19 February at 12:00 midday, Brussels time. Check with your National Agency for the next call.
